MECW SPOTLIGHT Zach Thompson : Bailey Mannix standing almost helpless on the apron. But as Bailey Mannix finally getting tagged in his temper got the best of him as he attacked everyone involved w/ the match. Which wasn't good enough for the "XXXplicit One" as he soon went for a chair & decided that he was going to definitely walk away new MECW Heavyweight Champion! But as he leveled the current MECW Heavyweight Champ: Dewey Daweson w/ a steal folding chair. Then nailing "Unbreakable" Zach Thompson who in advertantly fell on top a prone Dewey Daweson. We here @ MECW would like to say GOOD LUCK to our MECW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: ZACH THOMPSON!! GOOD LUCK & we wish you a long & exciting title run! If you went back one year ago this March, you would find Brian Scrilla trying to takeover MECW & over throw the Mayor Of Midwest the MECW Owner MR.K!!!! To fully understand this you have to look @ the surrounding controversy & go back even further than March last year....... At that point in time Brian Scrilla seemed unstoppable, He was on a unbroken winning streak. Even goes as far as not just pinning his opponent, but to hurt them bad enough where they would never be seen in MECW again to this day. Scrilla quickly set his sights on championship gold, but it wasn't’t singles gold he was looking for surprisingly. He was looking to take the MECW Tag Team Titles away from the first ever MECW Tag Team Champions Marshall Law!!! The combination of MECW Wrestler Marshall Garrett & former MECW Wrestler Shawn Santel. When Brian Scrilla's Tag team partner didn't live up to his end of the bargain & lost the match for Scrilla, Brian Scrilla quickly disposed of him w/ his finishing maneuver The Don-Bomb!!! A move so devastating that the now former tag partner of Brian Scrilla was never seen again. A month Later in a six man tag match where Danny Daniels, Hunter Matthews, & yes Brian Scrilla vs. MECW Tag Team Champions: Marshall Law & MECW newcomer Gabriel Brimstone. The end of the match seemed all synched up w/ Scrilla fighting to the back w/ newcomer Brimstone & Danny Daniels being disposed of as well. Shawn Santel locking the sharpshooter in on Hunter Matthews w/ the ref down. Brian Scrilla not only made it back to ring side but w/ steal chair in hand, & from behind Santel's back, Scrilla had leveled Santel w/ a chair shot to the shoulder & awaking the ref, gaining the 1,2,3. Now we fast forward where Marshall Garrett had to explain to the audience, that Shawn Santel would be out of wrestling for an undetermined amount of time, & unknown whether Marshall Law would be able to hold onto the Tag Team Belts!!! Brian Scroll came out challenged, cheated, & defeated Marshall Garrett. Forcing Garrett to become Brian Scrilla's tag team partner, unwillingly we might add for the unfortunate Marshall Garrett. The next month March one year ago to the day almost, Brian Scrilla debuted a new faction, in which he rightfully named "The Syndicate" compiling of Brian Scrilla as Boss, "The Black Spade" Devon Spade, & "The Technical Assassin" Cade Sydell!!!! Scrilla giving not only his newly obtained Tag Team Partner Marshall Garrett but the owner of the MECW Mr.K the option of siding w/ Scrilla & The Syndicate & give Brian Scrilla the controlling stakes to MECW, or Be destroyed & have the MECW taken from them & the Tag belts!!!! After shoving Mr.K to the ground w/ Cade & Spade assaulting Marshall & Scrilla blindsiding him w/ a chair, the same chair he used on Santel by the way. Cade & Spade were arrested & fined by the MECW. W/ Brian Scrilla be stripped of the MECW Tag Titles, & being put into a MECW Heavyweight Championship Title Match against Big Chuck Valentine. If Scrilla won he was awarded the MECW Heavyweight Championship. But if Big Chuck Valentine won Scrilla had to disband The Syndicate & would not be able to reclaim the MECW Tag Team Championships w/ Marshall Garrett ever again!!!! W/ Scrilla thinking he gained the 3 count, w/ assistants from the thought incarcerated Devon Spade. Mr.K came out & ordered the match be restarted, w/ a avalanche in the corner from Big Chuck & a V.D. (Valentine Drop) Big Chuck Valentine won the MECW Heavyweight Championship w/ Mr. K sliding in & surprising making the 3 count, screwing Brian Scrilla & insuring that The Syndicate would be stopped. But now we jump to present day where an unlikely duo, the tag team known as The Role model’s attacking Brian Scrilla & Marshall Garrett!!!! Having Brian Scrilla seen the light that it's better to have the MECW Family & Marshall Garrett on his side rather than no one @ all. With Brian Scrilla & Marshall Garrett forming an alliance & a MECW tag team called Brute Force, only this time they almost see eye to eye. Brian Scrilla still using any means necessary to win & Marshall Garrett trying to show him that a clean victory is better than a tainted one. But w/ that being their only problems right now, MECW see's Brian Scrilla, Marshall Garrett aka Brute Force being together & around for a long long time. With Brian Scrilla receiving praise & acceptance from the MECW Family is really a sight to see. Which is why in this month of March 2009, MECW Office have rightfully named Brian Scrilla the 1st MECW Spotlight. A soon to be made a regular segment on www. mecwrestling. net!!!! Zach Thompson made a huge splash in MECW from his debut against MECW Heavyweight Champion: "XXXplicit" Bailey Mannix, Mr.K thought it was the spark that MECW needed for someone to take away the thing that Bailey Mannix covited the most, the MECW Heavyweight Title! But unfortunately, Zach Thompson was robbed of a victory, as the XXXplicit one used his multi-talented manager "Lovely" Leon Alexander & secured the 1,2,3. But in his 2nd outting Zach Thompson wrestled XXXplicit Content Stable member Ryan Slade the "Canadian Sex Icon", But in this outting Zach Thompson was seconds away from seeing the victory until it ended in a draw! But Zach Thompson quickly jumped on a winning streak & put away the always cocky Ryan Slade in a rematch. A win that sky rocketed him trough many opponents, which quickly put the red haired wonder in a number one contender ship match for the MECW Heavyweight title. It was a triple threat match Zach Thompson vs. Evan Money vs the always dangerous "XXXplicit" Bailey Mannix! In the end it saw all the competitors in this match pinning each others shoulders to the mat! It was like in any big match controversy followed Zach Thompson. But the conroversary surrounding this match paid off for the man w/ the hottest irish temper in Woodriver & the MECW. A pay off that got him put into a fatal four way MECW Heavyweight championship match w/ Reigning MECW Heavyweight Champion: Dewey "Booger" Daweson vs Evan Money vs "XXXplicit" Bailey Mannix vs "The Unbreakable" Zach Thompson. Now three of the contenders did a good job of keeping "XXXplicit" Bailey Mannix out of the match & on several occasions got near falls, w/ longest reining former MECW Heavyweight Champ: Bailey Mannix standing almost helpless on the apron. But as Bailey Mannix finally getting tagged in his temper got the best of him as he attacked everyone involved w/ the match. But before Bailey Mannix could do anything about it Evan Money drop kicked the chair back into the face of Bailey Mannix & followed up w/ a over the top rope plancha! Which was enough time for the ref to comeback to & count the 1,2,3 & crowning new & current MECW Heavyweight Champion: The "Unbreakable" Zach Thompson!!! But don't see this as a fluke or see Zach Thompson that would be a paper champion or someone who couldn't get the job done. Because Zach Thompson has proved himself time & again that he can rise to the occasion & def anyone who come for him & retain his MECW Heavyweight Championship!! Zach Thompson will face anyone, anywhere, & he doesn't care because Zach Thompson is a fighting champion. He is a man that leaves it all in the ring. After the bell sounds & he steps between those ropes, Zach Thompson doesnt have any friends he just has enemies. He doesn't trust any man & he doesn't trust anyone. Because @ the end of the day he knows everyone is out for one thing, his MECW Heavyweight Title. He goes out their for the MECW Family & gives them their moneys worth.
